– We successfully performed a parathyroidectomy using the latest generation Digital Head-Mounted Microscope designed by I-Med Technology at Maastricht UMC+. We are looking forward to further develop algorithms for tissue recognition with this digital loop together with Gabrielle Tuijthof, i-Med Technology, Quest Medical Imaging, Maurice Aalders, Henk Van Santbrink, Rutger Schols, and Myrthe Eussen. The 45-degree downward camera angle provides the surgeon with optimal ergonomics, enhanced zoom up to 7x and 3D image.
